On May 25th, Jerry is ordained deacon and assigned by Bishop John Nevins to serve at St. Andrew Parish, Cape Coral, Florida. On October 25th, he is ordained to the priesthood and assigned once again to the people of St. Andrew amidst a record-attendance congregation. | |||||

Releases Feel the Joy and produces first major benefit concert. Father Jerry directs the St. Andrew contemporary choir. With a new name, The Meditations swells to 100-members-plus. In March, his cancer recurs and chemotherapy begins. | |||||

Produces second major benefit concert Near Restful Waters. His father, Bernard Kaywell, dies of cancer in North Palm Beach during the dress rehearsal. Father Jerry continues to perform the three sold-out performances with his brother John and leads funeral services the next day in Palm Beach. | |||||

Above the Clouds is released. Father Jerry releases The Divine Physician Series, Volume 1: The Flowing Stream co-produced with noted psychotherapist Dr. Dreamalee Lamberti. They donate 1/3 of the gross sales to St. Andrew Catholic School. He becomes a research patient for lymphoma studies at Stanford University Medical Center, Palo Alto, California. | |||||
